The great cellebration of culture, Naoussa Short-Film and Video International Festival, was completed with utter success!
Scoring a rescounding success and characterised by extraordinary attedance of people the most pioneering film Festival, 4th Naoussa Short-Film and Video International Festival, is over.
The festival was held during 3rd and 6th of May 2007 at the venues of the Municipal Theatre of Naoussa by the participation of creators from 47 countries. The films which were screened during this rich, cinema, four-day event has overcame 210, organised in a wide variety of categories (fiction, experimental, animation, student, movies of mobile phones, etc.).
The festival is organised by the civil, non profitable company named ARTION and took place under the aegis of Minister of Culture, Minister of Macedonia-Thrace, the Hellenic Cinema Center, Institute of Audiovisual Means, Prefecture of Imathia and School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Auth).
Furthermore, the Festival was supported by the Cinema Museum of Thessaloniki, Media desk Hellas, Athens’ Festival and the Municipal Cultural Organization of Naoussa. Sponsor for public’s award was “Mpoutaris Oinopoiitiki”.
Media sponsors were the TV channel “Alpha”, newspapers “Macedonia” and “Thessaloniki”, radio stations “Palmos 96.5” and “Extra Sport 103Fm” as well as the magazines “Epiloges”, “City.231” and “Cinema” and the cinema portal movieworld.gr.
The organisation company of the festival tried to create a unique, totally pioneering and qualitative event, with respect to creators and public. This goal was achieved as the 4th festival has been a critical point to the evolvement of the Festival and to its establishment as the greatest Festival of digital cinema in Southerneast Europe.
The submission entries were more than ever before, new collaborations started, new innovating sections were added, plenty of parallel events took place, while people embraced the festival and participated actively in the event for its whole duration. According to speculations more than 7,000 people watched the events making clear the rapid development of the festival.
The event was presented by famous Greek actors as Panagiotis Mpougiouris, Nikos Orfanos, Panagiota Vlandi, Katerina Papoutsaki, Eva Kotanidi and Stefanie Kapetanidi.
It is worth mentioning that participants from Greece and abroad came to Naoussa for the Festival. Participants were from countries such as Singapore, Tailand, Japan, Iran, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, etc.
